Cloudway is looking for PostgreSQL DBAs to join our teams in Athens, Vienna, and Bucharest.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the PostgreSQL database environment, including installation, configuration, and ongoing administration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data corruption.
- Collaborate with software development teams to optimize database schema, queries, and overall application performance.
- Create and maintain documentation on database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query optimization, index tuning, and resource utilization.
- Implement and maintain database replication and high availability solutions.
- Develop and enforce database security policies and best practices, including user/role management, encryption, and auditing.
- Stay up to date with the latest PostgreSQL features, tools, and best practices.
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL (or similar) Database Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of SQL database administration, including backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning.
- Working experience with enterprise or application implementations of a data warehouse, data lake, and data marts
- Familiarity with database security best practices, including user/role management, encryption, and auditing.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL languages.
- Experience with Oracle is a bonus.
- Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure is a serious bonus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Cloudway is looking for AWS and Azure certified Cloud Architects to join our Professional Services teams in Athens, Vienna, and Bucharest. As a Cloud Architect you will be primarily responsible for our clients’ cloud computing architecture. Job responsibilities include keeping track of cloud activities, developing and moving applications to the cloud, and specifying computing demands. You will also provide advice on how to deal with high-risk situations. It’s a senior-level position that necessitates a unique combination of technical, business, and interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities
- Working with our clients to understand their requirements and put in place cloud solutions to satisfy those requirements.
- Develop a well-informed cloud approach and monitor the transition.
- Examine cloud apps, hardware, and software on a regular basis.
- Create and manage cloud-based systems.
- Monitor our clients’ cloud privacy in collaboration with their IT security.
- Respond to technical difficulties in a timely and competent manner.
- Assist with infrastructure migration strategies, such as mass application transfers to the cloud.
- Identify the best cloud architecture options to help our clients accomplish their strategic goals.
- Translating project-specific requirements into a cloud structure that meets those requirements, as well as considering the project’s resource use and scalability requirements.
- Designing the cloud environment from a comprehensive perspective, ensuring that it satisfies all our clients’ needs.
- Performing activities such as deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management inside the cloud framework that has been created.
- Ensuring cloud security.
- Bringing new apps into the cloud environment to completion.
- Provide training and assistance to all employees whose jobs need them to interact with the cloud structure.
- Keeping track of how much cloud space is being used and ensuring that the system is running smoothly.
- Conducting migrations to transfer tools and other aspects into the cloud, as needed.
- Using virtualization technologies to accomplish effective server administration for the business.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
- Relevant training and certifications as a Cloud Architect
